In his "retirement" Bob's turned totally to tubes, it appears.

Perhaps we'll see some magazine reviews to see how they stack up against the competition?

Carver has been doing this for a while now. Those amps have been built as custom one off and sold on eBay/audioGon. They do look sharp.

The hi-fi mags haven't always been kind to the Bob-Father... this could be interesting.

Interesting.  I've seen the E-Bay auctions.  I've always thought his old stuff was innovative, not necessarily in all cases the best sounding.  The area code on the website is North Central Kentucky.  Phase Linear back in the day was my first set of separates and I owned many of their pieces.  The Carver cube amps turned me off for a bit.  I borrowed one once from a neighbor and didn't think much of it.
