NEW BDP1 SOFTWARE

James, I just installed the new BDP1 software. I recently saw on the sight where you mentioned what's new with this upgrade. Can't seem to find it. Can you plrease list them again?

New Software July 2011


New software is available for the Bryston BDP-1 Digital Player.


The new software has the following added features:


•   Software rebuild using Debian Linux OS

•   New USB Mount Utility

•   Bryston Max and Mini interfaces have improved performance

•   Mini-2 is an added interface for use with iOS 4 devices (iPads,  iPhone, iTouch)  (can be used with Safari and Chrome on Laptop or Desktop)

•   Single finger scrolling on playlist with Bryston MAX

•   Boot-time is now 30 seconds shorter

•   MAC Formatted USB drives (HFS-Plus) can now be used

•   Read/Write to NTSF Drives as well as FAT32 Drives using SAMBA and read support for MAC HFS-Plus Drives

•   Updated Bryston Home and Settings page

•   Internet Radio – 16 preloaded stations

•   Scratch Drive utility (album art data base)

Thanks James. But now when I try to use MAX it just continuously says loading and no playlist, USB or anything appear. The play, next etc. arrows are there but there is nothing to control. Unless I use another contoller like MPOD or Gnome.  Then the song playing is diplayed on MAX and I can STOP, go to NEXT but stil no Playlist or other functions! And it still says LOADING.
Anything you know that I should do?

I will discuss with my software guy - use MPOD for now.

Hi - I assume you were using the BDP-1 before with no issues?

We have been using the new software since mid July so you are set to go :thumb:

  Yes. No issues wit the BDP1 or with MAX. All other interfaces are still working fine and had no issues before upgrade either.

My drive is NTFS, yet I still can't drag and drop.

Any ideas?
