Head Injuries - Midnight Oil

One of the alltime great Australian hard rock bands. Gained popularity internationally sometime after this album, but I think this album is still my favorite of theirs - more polished and better production than their first, but still untainted by record companies/popularity. Give it a listen if you can get ahold of it.

Hey, I forgot about these guys.  I had Diesel and Dust back in the 80's on vinyl (it's in a box somewhere) and played the heck out of that album.  I'll have to add Head Injuries to my list when I hit the used CD store.

I like Diesel and Dust, certainly better than what I think of as their "mid-season" albums, but it's nothing compared to Head Injuries. For me, Head Injuries is one of those albums that just grabs you by the scruff of the neck and yells in your fucking face. Like few others - it's a classic for me.

I have four of their albums, but Head Injuries isn't one of them.

I have the mid-career albums such as Blue Sky Mining, Diesel and Dust, Red Sails in the Sunset, and 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.

Good Australian band, but not my favorite.
