i certainly like the results and i also alternate a pair of spendor s3/5s which are only of 84db sensitivity. the massive power never disappoints. and contrary to adcom naysayers, they are NOT bright.
i have stands that put them straight up vertical with about 8" elevation of open space.
my friend had a pair of 1.7s briefly and drove them with manley mahi amps in triode of about 14-17 wpc with no limitations. he doesnt play at concert levels but still plenty loud enough. i may try my dyna st70 soon just for fun. i am sure there wont be a problem.
