I like the two-tone beveled edge trim.
I like it too... the wife's a little luke warm to the two-tone idea. Technically, we don't need to decide until they all done, so we'll get a good look at 'em first.
Wish I could help with a way to do the trim before mounting the face on, but not sure what to do for that. Seems like you'll figure something out though.
Actually I looked at it a bit closer and was able to confirm that if my drivers are where they are supposed to be on the face (side-to-side), the bearing will have a flat surface to ride upon. This made me very relieved because triming w/ a knife/blade didn't work too well on the prototype cabinet.
Are you going to paint the Neo rivits?
Acutally I'm going to drill out all the silver rivits and replace them with black ones. It'll be cool to take 'em apart and see what's in there. I'll take lots of pics.
Don't worry I'm kidding... someone throw some cold water on Danny, I think he fainted. Yep, I'll be painting the rivits.
Now that you see the neos in the slot do you see what I mean about just needing to tap a little black paint where the rounded corners of the neos will be to make the whole line will look like like one solid object rather than a lot of little planar bits?
Yea, I see what you mean. I think I'll just hit the spots that will be seen. Its a pain having to drill all those holes for the rivits and the screw holes. Its like 10 holes per tweeter! That's really the story of constructing these speakers though, holes, holes, holes...
