Do you anthropomorphize your audio equipment?

to ascribe human form or attributes to (an animal, plant, material object, etc.).

I most certainly do and I am very curious if other kindred individuals share this same "affliction."

Perhaps the biggest tell tail sign is that I like it when she screams for me and she sometimes moans.

Laundrew, its so funny you should mention this because I am just selling my Dynaudio Contours after 2 years of daily listening to them and I've been telling my toddlers how we are going to miss them, they've been good friends to us and that they are going to a good home where they will be loved. I almost feel guilty, like I've betrayed them. LOL!

I do not. After owning my CAR for over 12 years (since new. A Ford Contour SVT) I can say I almost think of it in emotional terms.
But audio equipment? nope.
I have fond memories of some pieces I owned.
My first TT A Garrard Lab 80, my first stereo speakers: JB Lansing boxes. A Hafler dh110 I built from a kit. Some Infinity RSIIa I used for almost 20 years.. A Counterpoint preamp. The Forte' 4a amp I had before the Bryston.
But none of them became in my mind "creatures".

if it is a Bryston gear, you MUST anthropomorphize it. if your dog has a name and can live 15 years...and a Bryston CAN last double of that with no issues, so Bryston MUST be anthropomorphized!!!. and beside you do not need to "walk" your Bryston daily...or do you?
