They are great headphones. I would be mighty surprised if you didn't love them.

But do be sure to give them the amplification that they need. I run mine with a Little Dot Mk VI amp, a fully balanced beauty. I have also thought about getting the necessary adaptor to run them off speaker terminals of a lower powered non-headphone amp.

These sound as close to real as I've ever heard. I put on some stuff I played on and it sounded like it did the day I played it...very cool stuff.

These reveal so much more information thats in the signal its amazing. I watched Transformers "Revenge.." last night, a movie I've watched many, many times and it was like watching and hearing it for the very first time. The intricacies in the soundtrack, the dialog I was able to hear for the first time was just amazing.  Everything I've listened to so far, Music, Movies it so much more involving and seemingly loaded with information I'm suddenly hearing for the very first time. I was very, very hesitant to spend this kinda money on headphones but my goodness what a huge, huge difference it makes having these-seriously, honestly worth the coin as far as I'm concerned. Movies are just incredible!!!!

I am listening to a pair of HE-5LE's myself. These cans are so smooth and revealing. I wonder how these stack up against the HE-6 and LCD2's.

Ozark I think we got pretty awesome headphones, if they do get beat out it won't be by much, I'm pretty sure of that. :thumb:

I am hearing things in my music I have never heard before with the 5LE's. Even more than from my speaker system.

Those look MIGHTY comfortable.  Is that velour on the ear pads ala the Beyerdynamics?  I loved the comfort of my Beyer DT880's, but preferred the presentation of my Denon D2000's.

I think it is Velour and they are seriously comfortable, they feel like with the weight and the clamping power it feels like it might have when you hold them in your hand but on your head....bliss, well almost!!

I fell asleep one night last week for two hours with the cans on while they were playing. I guess that shows how comfortable they are while sounding so smooth.

I've decided to match it up with the EF-5 from hifiman, figuring thats what they used to voice them so lets keep it in the family...plus its cheaper...LOL

They are super comfy, sound excellent, there really isn't anything about the build or the sound to even nitpick at. These are the finest headphones I've ever heard let alone owned. I'm set between my modded Grado SR125's, these and the collection of IEM's I'm putting together I got portable, private, awesome sounds, and if I have to use the E11 with them it works pretty well....you gotta crank it but it lights them up. Noseyears, I wish you were closer I'd have you over to hear these in a second!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Thanks Ed, thats nice of you.  :)

I've heard about their open, clean, and detailed sound. A big improvement over the previous version (HE5) which had a fatiguing sound signature. How do they perform with rock music? i bet they do well on most genres!

I listen to mostly rock. From Pink and to the Doors and Eagles, very dynamic and non-fatiguing. Michael Jackson sounds better than ever.
