I dunno, that's way too cheap for a pair of 28Bs.

The price is definitely low.  Maybe the seller needs the money in a hurry??

Probably more like 1200 to 1300 watts on the bench test.  They should be sold already and they're not.  Glad they weren't local for me - way to much temptation.

Send him a note and ask for the serial #'s.

Good idea, as well as ask why is he selling so low.

If he and the amps are legit, how haven't they sold yet?  I'd expect them to be gone in no more than 3 hours.  3 days and still available???

I thought his price was each amp, but that's not what I gather from the ad.  I didn't read his feedback, but he's got a pretty high score.  I'd be all over them if I had the money.

It would have to be a: go there and verify before handing over the cash. That means living withing a days driving. or less.
I love buying stuff i can pick up that would cost a bunch to ship.
I have purchased a Furman REF20 within 80 miles, and a PS Audio P600 same area and distance.
Bothe are really heavy and cost a bundle to ship.
Once the distance includes an overnight stay.. that starts getting right up there with shipping... with gasoline @ $4 a gallon.
(I also had a fellow deliver a Kuzma turntable...)

Something's fishy here, I don't care if the guy has a million positive feedbacks...and correct me if I'm wrong, but that price is well below blue book.

I think i see 02 on the date of manufacturer. So they are almost 10 years old maybe... probably why they are so cheap.

Looks to me like 07 02 which would be week 2 of 2007.

Step 1. Get serial numbers, confirm if they are still under warranty.
Step 2. Drive down and pick them up.
Step 3. Send to Bryston for modifications and service check.
Step 4. Owning a pair of Beasties that will last you for the rest of your life for under $10,000 when all is said and done - "no-brainer."

Well put.  However, when you drive down and pick them up and send them to Bryston - you might find out that the boxes actually are filled with reverse engineered Chinese amplification and the guts are sitting somewhere else.  Who knows - unless you know what you're buying, can inspect it throughly and you trust the seller.

I never considered this and I believe you have made a most valid observation.  :thumb: I guess that many unscrupulous individuals will certainly go to extremes to take advantage of people.
