well not realy but, 

they are well over my expectations. The salk team just nailed with the way its veneered and the colour is dead on sexy. They are indeed a piece of a nice high quality furniture speaker.
And they do have that special vocal that is very clean, hard to describe.

Ok,
a litle bit of litening.
I have to say the song tower is very well balance speaker from top to bottom. I was worry that the bass would lack punch due to the TL design and some review between the sierra towers, which had been reported to have punchier bass. My overall impression of the bass is that they surpasses the look of those 5 in. woofer. I wasnt expecting the deepness of it. Seriously, it almost made me fell like i didnt need my Rythmik F15.

You don't...I never use a sub with my ST's.

But lots do with great success...

They are just fine to me the way they are for 98% of what I listen to.

Hehe, no doubt.  The first thing thought was the Fed Ex/UPS guy damaged another customer's gorgeous, custom Salk speakers.

They are 1/4 20 threaded inserts.

Thats a paoferro veneer with deep rose/orange dye. I chose one with less agressive wood grain pattern and i ask Jim not to use book match style, and its exactly what i wanted.
