Hi to all. I don't know if this topic has been discussed already but I want to replace the standard power chord that came with the BDP1. Has anyone out there done this? Any suggestions on what power chord to get?

I use Oyaide Black Mamba-Σ power cables on both my BDP-1 and BDA-1 because they were within my budget and seem to have some shielding in the design (good for digital?). 

Also the dealer was kind enough to buy the standard (but very nice) plugs that came with the power cords, for I had to change them with Schuko style ones by Furutech FI-E38(R)for my Torus CS Int'l GER.

Quite nice.

I have my own on it but would recommend WyWires.  When I auditioned it, I tried it both on my preamp and BCD-1 and did not hear a difference.  When I changed power amps (the old one I made had a 20 amp IEC) and I decided just to order a WyWires as I was really busy and they are not horribly expensive as far as high end power cords go.

Thanks Phil and klao. I have a Shunyata Diamond Back on my BDA-1 and was going to use the same on the BDP-1 but I believe the Diamond Back was discontinued. So I'm trying to get some ideas for something similar to the Diamond Back. Thanks for your responses.

Yes the wywires are ready for digital. They are easy to recommend since they are inexpensive.

Experiment with mains leads connected to the DAC, they make a difference.
As for the BDP-1, unless you have money to burn, stick with what came in the box
