BCD-1 to BDA-1: Best Digital Connection?
« on: 28 Jul 2011, 07:03 pm »
Would AES-EBU be a preferred digital connection over coaxial between BCD-1 and BDA-1?

Thanks very much for the details.  So many flavors of cable out there!

Mind describing your audio system?  And, what cable history/exerience lead you to what you current have?

First of all,you have to listen to this cables yourself to match the system that
you are having. The Pad's cable has a lower noise floor and quieter
 background.Better dynamic, soundstage and clarity.
I have a few cables that i had use before.Kimber, acoustic zen and aq,ending up with the Pad's which i can say i like most. The system that i am running right now consist of the cd1,da1,bp26 and 4bsst^. Still savinv for the Bit's or Torus 16.

Clearly, a home demo is the best way to go when possible.  I read a few interesting articles on the web that compared various digital connection options.  It is common practice for folks on forums to readily recommend AES/EBU as superior.  In the articles I read, coaxial won a few "shoot outs".
