Another set of N3's up for grabs....Pictures!!!

Hi all,

Had a spare set of N3 enclosures lying around collecting dust, so I decided to modify them a little and try out a new design. This is the end result.

The red sections are finished in a Burnt Cherry Pearl and the tweeter plates are done in an Anthracite Pearl. The pearl in the red was impossible for me to capture as it actually is and these pics in no way do it justice. The true color isn't at all as solid as it appears. It's very "pearly".

This pair is being listed @ $1500 fully built and ready to enjoy.

Build and finish details:

Premium MDF construction all around.

1.25" thick front baffle.

(3) concealed 3/8" cylindrical Neo magnets per enclosure for grille attachment.

Bases and tops attach via threaded inserts.

Paint job consists of a (2) step prime and seal, followed by a two stage Urethane finish.

The white portion of the finish work is a Premium White Leatherette.

BTW, the drivers are not attached in these pictures. The bottom of each driver hangs out about 1/2" from the face of the baffle.

Your N3's look absolutely beautiful !!! Fantastic craftsmanship. You should have no problem at all selling them to some lucky buyer.

Wow....Hi Ruben, I'm Ed and someday soon I'll have some of your creations--this one put me over the top. Its not really my style but it shows me what you can do and that is nothing short of amazing work.

Reuben, Ive got a question if you dont mind me asking and if you do mind I understand. I know what I use when I cut and polish out CV to a piano finish , do you mind telling me what products you use? Like I said if you dont want to I understand. And BTW this beautiful as always, I can believe you dont have a big "SOLD" lable on this thread. Thanks R.K.

Just received an email asking for a few more details on these N3's, so I figure I should add the info here, too.

The "leatherette" is an extremely durable premium automobile/marine/furniture upholstery. It has the look and feel of an expensive soft leather, but requires no special care and costs far less.

They are built using the standard N3 kit http://www.gr-research.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=151, come lined with NoRez and are lightly stuffed with polyfil.
