Here is a great chance to see what all hubbub about 45 and/or 2A3 tubes in a SET amp is all about. This low powered amp can take both types of tubes and is great for efficient speakers. The details:
This is a point-to-point wired SET that can take either 2A3s or 45 tubes. It was made by Waamamps and based on the JE Labs design, and currently sells for $1200 new. I'd like $OLD plus shipping, and would include a pair of both 45 (low hours) and 2A3 (under 10 hrs) tubes.
Below is the info on these amps from their website. The builder is also a great guy and was very generous in helping me out when I thought the amp wasn't working correctly (turned out the amp wasn't the problem). Info on the amp:
