You are not nuts. iTunes sounds better to many folks, including me.

Likely reason: all 64-bit data paths.

It's freakin' awesome! Lion is by far, the best OS X ever, I think.

ok So I tried to get used to the 'natural' scrolling where scrolling up makes you go down and down makes you go up and I have given up. What a bunch of bullshit. No matter how hard I try it never feels natural and I constantly have to second guess what is going to happen. Trying to reinvent the (scroll) wheel on this is silly and if apple ever removes the ability to choose between the correct way and the new way I will go crazy.

Launchpad doesn't work when I two finger double click on my mouse at all and I can't for the life of me figure out a logical way to implement current window expose.

So far I'm not enjoying my Lion experience very much. I have yet to find a single compelling thing it does better than snow leopard. HELP!

The scrolling is making me nuts too  :(  Someone somewhere obviously thinks that's good for me.

You can revert the scrolling back, but as with many things Apple, once they decide one way is better, it's only a matter of time before the old way is completely expunged.

System Preferences/Mouse/Point & Click/Natural Scrolling

Uncheck it.

 ya, love beta testing an OS that is clearly not ready for prime time IMO. Some of the new gestures just don't even work at all. For me the two finger double click, which is supposed to launch Launchpad, does absolutely nothing. And yes it has been enabled before anyone asks.

So far the only gesture that works the way it's supposed to is this one. :finger:

Funny stuff. I upgraded a Core duo black MacBook and have the same issues. I also picked up another 11" MBA yesterday (4GB, 128SSD, i5) with Lion preinstalled and it ROCKS!  I'm loving this whole gesture thing. Might have to figure out a way to do a clean install of Lion.

EDIT: I'm not a fan of natural scrolling either. It's a left-brain right-brain thing. I'm a lefty.

A stock operating system never does what you want it to do 100%, thankfully there are people out there coding up fixes for all the goofy crap they put in or took out.  I wouldn't even like using OSX very much if it wasn't for 3rd party software.

 it's sad, but true. We've been doing it the counterintuitive way all this time and moving the scroll bar up and down rather than the content. Suddently when presented the 'natrual' way our brains turn us inside out and backwards.

I'm going to keep trying the 'natural' way of doing it maybe I'll get it, but my fear is that this is one trend that other PCs will never pick up and when I go back I'll have fits again.

Ok I figured out what I was doing wrong to launch LaunchPad via magic mouse!!! If you double 'Click' the OS interprets that as a left mouse button click X2 and LauchPad will not launch. But if you double 'tap' or in other words touch the mouses shell without a compressing to click THEN launchPad will launch.

Now you get to learn a new way to click a mouse! As well as scroll. :duh:  I'm starting to not hate the new OS, but a garuntee my wife will be cussing a blue streak when she gets on the computer next time.

I threw out my magic mice and scored some track pads. I love 'em! I was having problems getting from corner to corner on the display with the mouse. With the track pads, I can do it without my wrist moving at all. Dragging and dropping just needs some practice though.

On a side note. After the install, I couldn't launch MS Office anymore. I had to go and get the 2011. Friggin bummer.

Ya, I have the same problem. I have currently 2004 (or whatever) and it's not working. I have a copy of 2011 that I installed on my laptop, but I have yet to do it for my desktop... Looks like that's my next task.

It was his little way of tossing them a bone after kicking MS's ass with iPod vs Zune. He felt sorry for the little guy now that Apple is dominating MS in the market.
