One of our club members just received the BDA-1 DAC. With little playing time on it we had a listen. Fed by a Jolida transport it was heaven. Speakers are Apogee Duettas driven by a Cary and CJ amps through an active crossover.
No digital artifacts, no hype, no sizzzling topend, nada. Just good ol foot stomping finger snapping music with natural tone, timber, and harmonic structure. His system never sounded so good. Never!!
It is time for me to give it a run against my Lector CDP. My gut tells me a purchase is forthcoming. Just may have found a new reference. A class "A" DAC indeed.
