Cost of 36.5

As the tittle asks.  Does it include the power supply or is that an option?  Any chance to get another pair of XLR outs?

There are two versions of the 36.5.  The regular 36.5 has a power supply internally.  The LS36.5DM (dual mono) has the outboard power supply.  I believe the Modwright site indicates you can have a 36.5 made into a 36.5DM

Interesting.

If anyone has any feedback, I'd love to hear it.

http://www.modwright.com/products/1

“Those wishing to take the performance of the LS 36.5 to the next level again, have the option of adding the PS 36.5 dual-mono, all-tube external power supply. This PS 36.5 features a complete dual-mono topology, including dual tube rectifiers and tube voltage regulation circuitry.”

Above are the particulars.  I went straight to the 36.5DM but there are posts here of people who had the 36.5 first

Here is a FS thread (by someone else) when I first contemplating the move and I asked questions and there is a brief comment on the difference between the two from the seller:  http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=86502.0

Phil,

Do you own one?

Hopefully Dan will chime in on my question of two pairs of Balanced out.

Hi guys, first of all, prices as follows (US Retail):

LS 36.5 = $5500
LS 36.5 'DM' = $9995

LS 36.5 has intrnal powr supply and can be upgraded for $4500 to include the external dual-mono fully tube rectified and tube regulated power supply.

I will be sending an LS 100 on tour very soon.  We have a unit built for the purpose and will get it and a KWA 100SE on its way soon.

Thanks,

Dan
