My eyes are older than I want to know..

Pfff...
I have finally finished assembling the electronics of my AKSA 55.

It seemed so easy compared to the 40 hrs I spend to assemble a Heathkit 200 watt poweramp to power my Bose 901 when I was 21 (!)  to "shine" at my party    and make  my friends  jealous at my  HiFI .Little did I know about musicality and I was a firm follower of "Sereo Review"  Back at the years when Jimmy Hendrix still lived.

BUt now after two hrs of soldering and being busy with the AKSA I get a slight headache, but worse some nausea phenomena.

I look thru two reading glasses taped together (3+ added together) to see all the fine details. Those glasses are heavy !

I have made many photoos to help the what elderly people. In fact I am thinking of making my own addendum to Hugh's installation guide in colours and in pdf format on line.

I will tweak the photoo's to protect the intellectual property so that "insurgents" or copycats cannot actually rely upon the pictures. I will Ask Hugh first for agreement after showing the extra guide.

I will post some pictures of my "unique"placement of the pcb's or inner configuration of the AKSA..

Kyrill,

Yikes!  With those two pairs of glasses taped together it's no wonder you got a headache and nausea!  For double-checking solder joints on circuit boards and other fine work, I went out and got an old-fashioned magnifying glass.  Works great.

I'm sure everyone looks forward to your pictures and impressions.

??
Nothing wrong with my eyes except double taped glasses to see microdetails is not funny.
I borrowed a magnifier glass from my neighbour, it is actually a lamp with a build in Mag glass and fasteners to fasten it at the rim of the table. works more relaxing (thanx electratig) And I am finished soldering and have set the bias after having done a beginners mistake by assuming all output drivers to be equal    But Pappa Hugh helped me out in one email..
