Close, its a Neo 8.  The maple speaker is a Philharmonic 3.

That's great news, Dennis!  If I had the money I'd buy a pair right now.  I highly recommend others do so, as they are in limited supply.

Atkinson said nothing about how it sounded or even mentioned Salk speakers.  What's so great about what he wrote?   :dunno:

Any accolades are better than none I guess.

What a treat to see Jim and Dennis at the show and listen to both of their speakers.
I could sit in that room and listen all day without tiring. :thumb:
Thanks

He said, and I quote:

"Instead, I was told the speaker costs just $2800/pair!  That is a lot of speaker for the money."

I don't think he was referring to the size of said speaker. ;)

George,  Atkinson also compared the Bryston to the Salk.

Quote
"Whereas the Bryston offers control buttons and a display, the Salk is controlled by a remote client running on an iPad, iPod Touch, Android phone, etc."

That sounds like a plug for the SalkStream.

That sounds like a plug for the SalkStream.

The line by itself, out of context, could be interpreted that way, but knowing that the Bryston BDP-1 can also be controlled by a variety of portable WiFi devices, control via buttons and display would have to be considered an additional feature.

Nor was he referring to a Salk speaker - which was my point.
