Today, I placed my order for my new tonearm, a series 4 audiomods with all the bells and whistles.  Was able to get the "floor model" from someone and after much learning and searching will have my new deck.

The Townshend and Audiomods are going to be a good starting point for the big black cd's.

Thanks to all the advice and input from the members of this forum.  I will let you know when I get the chance to put it all together in the next couple weeks.

Enjoying my Chapman t-8 speakers as I type.  Nice to have music in the air once again.

The AudioMods Series 4 might not be the starting point- it might be the end, as far as arms go. Excellent choice!  :thumb:

Andy - we expect 'proof' pics as your final thanks

Really glad you found help here at The Vinyl Circle.  Don't be shy about posting once you're set up - either with comments or need for any additional pointers.

Congrats ! .......for the record (no pun intended) we don't use 'cds' when talking LP's, rather it be stated as 'black pizza' !!

Hope your venture into vinyl gives you great rewards. I'm sure you'll find the wait for the Audiomods arm worth your patience.

Welcome to the club. Great choice on the arm. I second what Nels said this arm is stupid good for the coin. Please post some pics. What cartridge will you run? I use an old Koetsu Rosewood with SS retip. They also sound very good with the wood body Grados.

Will post pics when I get the set up finished and have some vinyl spinning.  Decided to go with arm, I could live with for many many moons.  Almost all tables seem to come with a rega recommendation.  Went with what seemed like the best rega version for the money.

Will be doing some sort of Grado to start, and play from there whilst investing in music.

I'm very happy with my Series IV Audiomods arm.  I have some experience with it's closest rival, the Michel Tecnoarm, and I think the A-mods is the hands down winner.  It has more features, is more solidly built (no plastic here) and is far more versatile right out of the box (the Tecno upgrades are aftermarket offerings and costly).  I think you can't go wrong with it if you're looking for a rega-based arm.
