cornet2 voltages too high
« on: 4 Jul 2011, 01:04 am »
hey all

built my cornet 2  basicly stock with wimas instead of auricaps.  fire it up and the red goes to green in two seconds.  im using a motorola 5y3.  anyway the voltages are 370 where its marked 365 on the board and 360ish at all the 150-155 v test points on the board.  the 330 and 300 spots are 360 and 350 respectively.

checked for bad solder and rechecked the psu wiring, it seems right as the recitifier is putting out the right voltage and i get 6.3 on the heaters.  and suggestions?

also is the pinout and therefore silkscreen on the TIP50 the same as the legacy current sink?

thanks

think i found it.  posting in case it helps others.  my 910R resistors were 910K.  i usually check with a meter before stuffing.  the one time i didn't and it bit me.  new ones are on the way!!

yes i floated the sinks on the tip50s so theyre not connected to the board.
