the top of the circuit board isn't readily visable - wondering if it could be located there (assuming that there is a fuse)

hey, guess what it does have a fuse. Its located in the plug connection
on the back of the amp. You need to pull out a recessed rubber/plastic piece to access it (use a flat screw driver). :D
