This has got me wondering what these old amps sound like. I've got one in a closet that I've used as a back up, that I think I'll pull out and compare to my modded Moscode 300 that does duty in my small room system. (Do I really need 6 backup amps sitting in the closet ?? Maybe my wife is right when she says some of this stuff needs to go and that stereo is becoming a fetish ).Scott
nobody looking for a decent, inexpensive amp for a second or third system?
I had an old 5002 class H amp from Soundcraftsmen. Not sure if they were really focusing on the home audio environment, but certainly in commercial sound reinforcement/studio applications. Very conservative power ratings, and they truly were rated at full RMS, 20-20k @ a max. distortion level (usually .05%). Not very cosmetic, but when you needed an amp that could do the 24/7/365, these were the amps of choice.w
