Musical Fidelity DAC with Off-Ramp 4 - TAS review
« on: 26 Jun 2011, 04:09 am »
Here is another USB DAC review where the Off-Ramp 4 is used to make it sound better:

Again, proving that the USB interface is actually more important than the DAC.

Steve-

But Steven Stone is using the Off Ramp 3. I think this is the 3rd review I've seen him do where he positively mentions the performance of his OR3, and he never notes that there is a new and improved model.

It would probably be worth it to you to give him an OR4 to play with. Good chance he will sing it's praises in future articles. He seems to be one of the few reviewers in the mainstream audio press that understands and enjoys computer audio, without any "buts" or "althoughs".

Steven has had an Off-Ramp 4 since February with Ultraclock.  He just shipped it back for upgrade to dual Turboclock.  The latest issue of TAS has him extolling the Off-Ramp 4s virtues when used with the iDAC.  In a couple of months, this will be online as well.
