Here is a very nice Technics SP25 drive unit. Besides a few marks on the mat, this one is in perfect cosmetic condition. Electrically it operates fine also. No dings, scratches, missing control buttons, none of that stuff. Electrically it operates fine also. Also has a second control cable for a Technics accessory, not sure if that is a standard option on these or not.

Now a bit about the plinth. 3 inch of birch ply, with four brass inserts installed to bolt the table down. Current dimensions are 23.75W x 19D x3H. The current tone arm bushing is installed at 296.85mm, which was for a 12 inch arm. I can sell the base at its current dimensions, or I can take it to a cabinet maker and have it cut down to your needs. The side panel where the bushing is can be taken off, and a 9 inch arm can still be mounted, as you would have 3.5 inches from the farthest edge of the table, and extra room along the back right corner. Let me know what works best for you.

I do have access to a Pete Riggle VTAF at dealer price if you want to use one with this table. This is only for the person who buys this plinth, a one time offer. I will discuss this topic through PM only.

As the attached pictures show, I am just a regular hobbyist with a basic set of tools. The openings for the table were done with a router into each panel, and drum sanded. Alignment is not 100% perfect, as my tools do not allow me that level of accuracy. The brass bushings caused a bit of fracturing on the top layer of the plywood, but they are solidly in place, and the table hides their appearance. One hole is drilled in the base, and to allow the cooling vents of the table to get access to air. One hole is drilled to route the accessory control cable. with the table in place it looks very presentable, but make no mistake I am just a hobbyist. Next owner has to trim out the edges if they want it that way, add feet, and I would recommend some isolation washers between the table and plinth.

Local pick up is preferred. If I have to ship this combo, you will have to allow me some time to find proper packing materials. I will have to charge for them, as my stash of stuff is just not up to the task of doing a heavy table like this. Whatever is needed, all I ask you to do is pay the actual cost. This is too nice a version a table to get damaged in shipping.

My selling cost is what it cost me to acquire these pieces. No profit here, just wanting to move this table on to someone who will appreciate it. Certainly is a good table, came very close in sound quality to a $3250 Galibier Serac. Sorry about the poor pics, light wasn't the best, nor was the camera.

SP25 $225
Plinth $85

note I have a total of 6 panels left. I can do a 4 layer one and a 2 layer one. Or two three layer plinths
