What dac should I go for my Naim SS amp?

Hi all,

I'd been moving around and lately settle down with Naim vintage 32.5/Hicap/Nap 140. I am very pleased with the colored performance after long hours of running in. Currently I used Ipod + cambrige audio dock for music and my Project FM tuner is coming soon too.

Overall I still plan to have some valve matching to the front end and have the fun of tube rolling. Besides, my previous to all amps were full valves and I still have some great pre valves around. I also found Ipod is great but totally have no idea with dac ( still prefer to come with valve output).
Any recommendation?

I like the Wyred4sound Dac 2 for all that it brings. I am looking to buy one soon and will give you a review

I tried an Eastern Electric Mini Max dac briefly. Ultimately though, my PS Audio DLIII won out (I liked the balanced out).
I'm not a tube guy but if you're looking for tube sound at a reasonable price, the EE is a nice dac. Here's a nice 6Moons' review:http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/easternelectric/dac.html

Hi Timid,

The EE is great looking DAC and solid finishing. The V.control is mainly to match with either high/low gain amp setup?

What do you think? Price is is range at 1000usd. This should be the few to choose which comes with valves to play around. Somehow the tube use is MHDT dac is unfamiliar to me.

Interesting that you point out the MHDT dacs as the Havana is what I was top on my list when I was searching. While I was waiting for a used Havana to show up somewhere a good deal on the Mini Max presented itself.
In the end though, the PS Audio won me over.

I have been using a Rega Dac for about 30 days and it has been very nice, if you google it you might find some good reviews..

People seem to be pretty satisfied with Rega after purchase.
