Picked up the dvd, Pictures at an Exhibition by ELP. From what I can tell from the liner notes it was released sometime in 2010.
Though the video is interesting, seeing how they performed this classic concert, it is also ruined somewhat by the psychedelic effects used at that time.
The audio however, which is only PCM, through the BDA-1 is outstanding. It sounds so life like but at the same time exposes mistakes in the performance that are not apparent on the original cd release or lp.
Then there is the second half of the concert that wasn't on the cd or lp. I had heard it before not realizing it was from this concert. Which is full of energy which makes this classic performance album even more outstanding.
Included is some Bonus features that I haven't viewed yet.
So if you like Pictures of an Exhibition by ELP and have a BDA-1. Then get this dvd, it's a must own just for the improved audio.
