I must need to find a new "computer guy" because he tells me that there is no driver support for my motherboard...
Mysystem is:
Intel core2 quad Q6600 at 2.4GHz with 3.25 GHz of ram
I think the video is  ATI Radeon  HD 3800 series.

If he told you that you have 3.25 GHz of RAM, you do need a new computer guy!  Perhaps you have 4GB of RAM and 32-bit Windows XP can only utilize ~ 3.25GB of it?

At any rate, you should be able to go to the website for your motherboard and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for it.  Certainly W7 drivers are available for the ATI HD video.

I am running a laptop with a Core2 Duo 2.0GHz processor with 2GB of RAMm Intel graphics processor, with Windows 7 x32 Home Premium and everything is working well.   I have the M2Tech Evo Win7 x32 driver running and everything is fine with Foobar2000 and WASAPI.   This machine is over 4 years old and came with Windows XP installed.

I did have to do a clean install of Windows 7, and used the Windows migration tool to move my data to an external drive to make it as easy as possible.  You will have to reload your programs.

What is the brand and model number of your motherboard, or if it's a name brand computer, what is the model number of the computer?

I would be surprised if you weren't using an Intel chipset motherboard, and I would be even more surprised if Windows 7 didn't support it.

Not sure what you're looking for me to "suggest" - is your question regarding audio in general?  I'd start with a cd player.  Computer audio?  I'd get my mb's sound working and then a STOCK hiface and THEN a modified one.

Same problem, I would talk directly with jkeny.  Its all about isolating the problem.

Jim, rtate, don't get into conflict - there is none. Your MK1 modified Hiface is working with Win XP (what do you think of the sound?) & maybe at some stage you will move to Win 7 (a move I recommend for sonics). Try the PurePlayer playback software & see if it is to your liking, then move along slowly from there.

Happy Fathers day,   :D

Looks like Windows 7 already supports your system.  There are more up to date drivers from Intel, but out of the box, Windows 7 does the trick.

Ostensibly you can get up to 8GB on there.
