It is looking more than likely I am going to make the jump to a lakefront condo.  Which means my dedicted listen room will be no more.

She must be pretty hot to convince you to ditch the dedicated room.  :o

Terrific speakers and rock solid construction. I had them for a couple of weeks on the demo tour from Paul and they are very, very nice for this kind of money. Best of luck with the sale!

Ooooh wow! Haven't heard the speakers myself but I admired the designer as he tries to provide performance usually reserved for more expensive speakers down to a point that is 'affordable.' And now, this! This should be gone, soon, beautiful speaker, good luck!

Never had the pleasure to listen to these, but have always thought they were the most aesthetically pleasing speakers I have ever seen.

I had the opportunity to hear Paul's Ronin speakers on 2 separate occasions while living in Chicago.  they were awesome!!

I liked the version with the plate amp attached best, but regardless.  Construction was top notch & custom all the way.

These are very beautiful looking and sounding speakers.  Paul's workmanship is flawless and stunning.  These rarely come up for sale and I'm not surprised.  They are some of the coolest looking speakers I have ever seen and you can tell, Paul put an extreme amount of effort into them.

Cheers,

J

I know there were RMD's and also RPD's. What was the difference between the two?

I believe one was paper cone and one was metal but I'm not sure.  The bass drivers are metal (aluminum) painted black and look like it's a Peerless XLS.  Everything in this speaker is super high quality.  The midrange cones are Seas Excel Magnesium.  They sound great on everything you throw at them, including Rock and less than perfect recordings.  Pinpoint imaging, etc.

Jack is correct.  One was paper, the other magnesium.  Hence the middle letter in the name.  You can find some general information about the differences in the 6 Moons review.

Thanks for looking guys.

Thanks Jeff, that's what I thought.

Please, someone buy these, I'm having trouble fighting the temptation!  All of my spare pennies are going to my bike obsession or I would have already bought these. Plus, my wife would kill me if I bought any more stuff at the moment.

Paul from Nomad Audio put his heart and soul into these speakers.  His craftsmanship is second to none, and I feel the same way about his speaker design skills.  The Ronin speakers are world class, exotic, and beautiful in every way.  There are some reviews on line for these but the pictures do not do them justice.

I have to admit I'm surprised these haven't sold already.  They are a great design and look much better in person than the pictures.  Some of the best looking and sounding speakers I have ever heard.
