Any Michael Schenker fans out there?

Until recently, I hadn't listened to much of the old Michael Schenker music but i have always been a huge fan. I remember seeing the old MSG group when I was younger and have always being totally captivated by his playing. I love his stuff, especially when he played with UFO. It appears Michael has gotten his act together and is playing better than ever. I'm going to see these guys at the Chicago House of Blues in May. Will report back but I'm sure they are going to rock the house.

I've never been a big nostalga fan but I've seen some really good shows at the HOB over the last year. The most memorable one was the Billy Idol show. He had his original guitarist Steve Stevens and an awesome backing band. Billy Odol is another guy who has seen some tough times but he looks and sounds as good as ever. I highly recommend catching his show if he is in your area. Stevens is also one of the best guitarists I have ever seen live. Amazing!

There's a cool interview with Schnenker that I read at CCR: http://www.classicrockrevisited.com/interviews03/Michael%20Shenker%20Interview.htm, must have been a couple months back.

I'm a pretty big fan of his as well, especially of his band MSG (the McCauley-Schenker Group). They had a string of great albums in the 80's and early 90's and were one of my favorites back then.

His newest solo CD is all instrumentals, and the guy is still a wizard on guitar. You might wanna check it out.
