I have a Clearaudio Concept with a Maestro Wood MM cart with very little use. Also includes plexiglass cover. The cover is damaged in the rear but this cannot be seen from the front. I do not have the original box so I don't want to ship. Greatly prefer table is picked up in Baltimore. Will consider trades for integrated tube or SS amps or speakers suitable for use in smaller rooms. Trade offers must offer like value.

Hi, Merle.  Isn't that a $1000 cartridge and a $1500 table?  Mind if I ask why your are selling?

The cartridge recently went up to $1200. That being said, Doug is right, I'm a bit of a gearhead. Since I bought the table it's played maybe an album a week. I honestly just don't use it much and it seems kind of silly to have it sitting here when someone else might really appreciate having it. I know I could sell it for a good bit more on Audiogon but I've gotten tired of dealing with people there. WAY to many lowballers, weirdo's, etc. On Audiogon, I've had people offer half my already great asking price, ask me to provide a two year warrenty, ask how something compairs to XYZ componet, get mad at me because I don't want to ship, etc. Pretty much done with that option! I'll still use Agon if I REALLY want to move something but more often than not, if I can find a good buyer here, great. If not, I really don't mind keeping things. Someone could have a really nice table setup here if they want. If not, I'll keep it, lend it to a friend, give it to a family member, whatever. Yep, I'm a gearhead but at least I'm aware of it! :)

That is a hellova deal already from what I've read about the cart and the table.  If I were in the market and in your area, I'd even take you to dinner in swinging Baltimore.  You'd have your pick of places cause that's one city I haven't visited.  Sweet deal.

Hi Jim,
We're just getting ready to walk out the door for steamed crabs and pitchers of beer! If you've never had fat crabs steamed with Old Bay all over them, then you need to make a trip to Baltimore! Hell, let me know if you ever pass this way and I'll treat for the first dozen!

I absolutely, positively will!!!  Thanks

Good thing you have that cover, so that it keeps all the drool off the good stuff.

Price drop. Will take $925.00, cash and carry! Table is now listed on Audiogon.

Damn that's a helluva deal. Too bad I'm not local. Wait a minute, I am local! If only I could convince my wife to buy me this for Father's Day....

Good luck with the sale!

ps. Take him up on the crabs, Jim! Nothing better in  the world. Except maybe a crabcake, from Koco's....

Dunno about G&M, never been there myself but have always heard good things. Koco's on Harford Rd in Baltimore and Gilligan's in Lewes, DE are my favorites so far.

Sorry for the derail, yummy as it was.  :duh:

The crab cakes at DiNardo's in Philly have to be hard to beat.
