...kidding nut....KR has amps that sell for over $20K but have no idea which one this is.  I think they do have one that goes for around $6K.  Cor needs to jump in and tell us the number.  No doubt KR are terrific amps but in a totally different stratosphere.

I just noticed the sunglasses on the smiley, now. :duh: I shoulda known better. Real slick es347!   Grrrrrr!   I googled KR (obviously, I'm not familiar with their products) and clicked on each product link to see prices jump higher and higher! :o

http://www.kraudioproducts.com/Kr/ProductMain.aspx?CatID=14

I think the closest thing listed to the 3 grand mark you mentioned was one amp at around $2300.00 (see pic below) and the next after that at about $5000.00.

When I opened the link to the $20,000.00 model (see pic below) I almost spit my coffee clear across my desk!

Thanks for reminding me how "broke" I am as I negotiate my way through this rather expensive hobby of ours.

Why don't you wait until you get your VR 4's upgraded you might not need another amp.

Hey guys,

The 'Baby KR' (kronzilla) in the picture is the VA 880 runs on four KT 88 tubes and get their drive from the same PC board as used in the real Kronzilla, we sell at € 5990,00 in Europe.
That is why we call it the baby Kronzilla, just wait until the tubes grow. :D

Regards,

Cor

if you want to know more? Just ask.

I agree with you 100%, Charlie.  I'm just bein' my audio-fool self, thinking of "what-ifs" for the future.  Believe me, I am just now saving up the last few $$$ I need for my upgrade - so it's not like I have another pile of greenbacks sitting around to buy a new amp with. :nono:

I'm just dreamin' and thinking out loud!

If you are willing to expand your options to include Hybrid amps, I am sure jackD can tell you more about how an LSA Standard integrated amp might match your speakers.

Thanks, O.D.  I never thought of going the hybrid route, so now that you've brought it up... I'd be interested in learning about that as an option as well.

The Ayon Audio Triton integrated KT-88/12au7 tube amp matches well to the UniField 3.  It should work well on the VR-4 G3.
