Interesting, and the prices are all over the place from different sources. Some are over $300 some as low as $129. Some say the list price is nearly $500, some say about $350.
One more bit of confusion, on the back panel drawing at the Sangean web site, it shows that the digital output port is "optional".
Other info at the same web site says it is "optical".
So how does one order the optional optical digital output port?
Finally this looks a lot like the Best Buy Insignia product. A friend has one of these and we tried it here with our best DAC and unfortunately it was not as musical as my $80 Sony HDR-F1HD digital tuner from its analog only outputs.
And of course the Sony is not even close to my old AVA Super Tuner Two done in a Dyna FM-5 chassis with our most current circuit upgrades. The problem with the old Dyna based unit is sensitivity, it is useless here without an external outside antenna unless the weather conditions are right.
