Hi everyone,
I just got my first truly great HiFi system... Pass Labs X150 poweramp controlled by the Pass Labs X2.5 preamp. So now I have the amplification, I just need a tuner and speakers... Recomendations? This system is set up in my bedroom so space is somewhat limited, and budget is a concern as well... I need to spend no more than $1000 for the speaker pair (and I'd LIKE to spend no more than $800). On the tuner end i'm not real picky. The FM stations locally are not of the highest quality, so even just a 'decent' tuner will provide the goods. I have no qualms with nice used equipment. My listening tendancies lean toward alternative & rock, with some jazz, classical and showtunes in there for good measure. I've been looking at offerings from B&W (600-700 series), PSB (4T & 5T), and I've briefly looked at Energy & paradigm. Am I on target with these selections? Any other directions I should look at in addition? I prefer small floorstanders with good bass and liquid mids.

Thanks in advance!

there seem to be some excellent deal on energy speakers.. you should consider slightly increasing your budget and picking up a pair of energy c-9 speakers:

this post has info on where to pick them up for cheap:
