VegasDave,
Thanks for sharing the link.  Very nice review indeed!  As a new Bryston owner, I must agree about the remote control.  I've read many reviews that applaud it's solid and expensive feel- I find it a bit large and heavy.

So, Bryston + Thiel have a nice synergy?  Are there other speakers companies that are also commonly thought to play well with Bryston?

No problem. Yes they do. I would say Magnepan, PMC, and B&W.

Regarding the remote, I love it because I can sit the remote on the end table next to me and just press the buttons without picking it up.  Try that with any other cheap plastic remote.  Can't do it as those lightweight remotes won't sit still, you have to physically pick them up.  With the Bryston remote, I just reach over with one finger and press.  Love it!

As for speaker synergy, I use Dynaudio and I can't think of a better match for Bryston.  The Dyns love power and they have a smooth delivery that never sounds harsh which is perfect for the very transparent sound the Bryston gear produces.  To me, Theil is actually not so great a match.  Another brand I think pairs well with Bryston is Vandersteen.  Give it a try if you can.

@Jaxwired,
My first nice set of speakers were a pair of Vandersteen 1B's.   My wife bought them for me on my 30th birthday.  Just sold them a few months ago.  Too bad.  They won't get a chance to play with the B100SST.

Ah yes, the Dynaudios...I forgot about them. Yeah, I can see how those would work. But aren't they a bit soft in the treble?

I have no experience with Vandersteen...

Why do you say Thiel is not so good of a match with Bryston?

Martin-logans are a good match too.I'm using aerius now with a 4bsst2, a major upgrade from the yba-2 i use to have. Still looking to upgrade my speakers but i can't get a response from m-l to see if my 4bsst2 will drive the vistas or theos due to the low impedance dip they have.Considering dynaudio,thiel2.4's.audio physic tempo 25's salk song towers with ribbon tweeter and ht1-tl's.Any other suggestions would be welcome.

It may sound stupid, but I think any quality speaker would be a great match with Bryston.  If it doesn't sound good, it's most likely the spaker itself.

My rationale...

Bryston is very neutral and has very, very little sonic signature of its own.  What you're most likely to hear with it is the source and speakers doing their thing.  The Bryston gear gets out of the way better than anything I can think of.

All IMO of course.  I'm sure the detractors will laugh.  So be it.

I would tend to agree with this. I tried one speaker out (Phase Tech) that were dull and muffled. I thought it was the Bryston gear at first. Then I came to my senses. I then got my current speakers (JBL) and voila, there was life in the midrange and treble. They sound pretty good, but certainly not the ultimate.
