Saw it last night. Just as hilarious as I had hoped!  though I will say I think the first was better. A lot of the same sort of wackiness and hilarity.

I heard that this film was almost an exact replica of the original?  Is this true?  I have been putting off seeing if because I liked the first so much that I have built up high expectations for the new movie and am in fear of being let down.  After hearing from a couple of other friends I may just wait til it comes out on video.

That's basically an accurate assessment. It's a good movie, but only because it follows the originals formula to the T. A lot of what happens is more outlandish, but what do you expect from a #2 version of this type of movie? I say you can see it and not be disappointed, or wait for video or skip it and either way you'll be fine.
