Pretty cool.
To make a vacuum tube i need approximately $20,000. worth of equipment, and plenty of skills in metallurgy, glassblowing, machining etc, and many hours of time per tube. The patience of a watchmaker, and the versitality of a skilled artisan. And then i can have some homemade vacuum tubes. It would have to be a labour of love.
Only the French. (or any tube crazed guy!)
Lucky for me I can buy tubes.. Eventually the homemade tube may be all there is. (Unless China keeps making them)
