Headphones with deep bass

Looking for mid priced headphones with deep bass that will bring the barn down.  I have the Schiit Valhalla amplifier so the impedance has to be over 100 ohm's.

The Sony XB1000 has a bit of a reputation of being a bass monster, I have not heard it myself.

I like the Denon AH-D7000, the Denon is not a mid price headphone.

Not sure what midpriced is for you, but closed headphones tend to have more bass, with Denon in particlar having a reputation for bass.

What is your definition of "mid price"?  Everyone has different spending limits.........

Perhaps you could consider the Denon AH-D2000's?

They look real comfy, do you mind telling us about how much $ they were and how they sound so far? I'm looking for a new pair to check out along with my Grado's, something hard to drive.

 EDIT--Nevermind I found them....

Just ordered them one hour ago.  It took me three days of reshearch.  It was down to three.
Grado's, AKG 701 and these.  The DT 990 was the only one with 600 ohms.  I  currently have the Senn HD 555 but the bass is lacking.  They (DT990) will be driven by my Schiit Valhalla tube headphone amp.  My sweetie is a nurse and works nights and sleeps during the day so no subs or speakers on during her nap time.  Great reviews on these.  Cost was $315.00 on Amazon.

I likes my DT880s. Must be the flatcan ones. They rock in ways that none other than the T1s are capable of.

I like the Beyer DT880 the best out of all the Beyer phones as well. I finally ended with the Sennheiser HD650 as my favorite mid-priced dynamic headphone.

Despite they are open, they have a nice bass impact. They beat the HD650's IMO.

They were my favorites at a camJam a couple of years ago...  though I preferred the 300-Ω (250-Ω ?) model...  not sure, it was a while back.  But that makes sense as I was demoing straight out of my iPod...  no amp (edit: scratch that I now remember demoing them on their set-up).  Awesome sound and comfort.  Great choice  :thumb:

Please let us know how they work with the Valhalla. Is this the same one for $166?

Different beast altogether, though I have not had the opportunity to hear the DT990 Pro Studio (going by the reviews of others at head-fi.org, I've only heard and own the DT990/600). This is the DT900/600 at BH:

A little green here about headphones. I see the 250 ohm version is $30 more than the 600 ohm version. Any reason for that? Is the 250 ohm version the best way to go? Or 600 ohm?

The 250 ohm version will be easier to drive (if you don't have a powerful amp) it does have better mids, treble and bass extension (some say they are bright) but they improve after some burn in.

I use Ultrasone 650s from 2004 for recording, and I'm a bass player. I'd suggest whatever the current version of that is. Really good, very low bass, not apparently exaggerated.
