LIFE...Keith Richards
« on: 25 May 2011, 01:05 am »

Just finished this compulsively readable and well written book. Long (550 pages) but it went fast. It'll become the standard by which future rock musician autobiographies will be judged. The Stones and particularly KR (Keef) lived the Rock and Roll life to the max and he doesn't blanch at telling his story with remarkable honesty and a great sense of humor replete with amusing British slang. I found myself laughing out loud every few pages. He certainly wasn't just an empty head stoner but found out what he wanted to do at an early age, refined his craft, navigated the chaotic drug saturated music scene and came out on top, sanity intact.

I have a copy borrowed. Don't have gobs of free time right now, afraid to start!

I never did go through my Stones Box early vinyl set. Wondered if I could listen to the albums sequentially as a companion?
