Just heard the Smithereens new album in it's entirety on WFUV last Thursday and was impressed to say the least. It's good to hear a local band still going strong with new material. Maybe a tour to follow
I've seen them probably 4 times, and I would have to say they are one of my favorite acts to see live. I always loved it when Jim Babjak did his "beer tricks" on stage. I guess Mike Mesaros is no longer with the band?

The last thing I bought from them was their Beatles remake Meet The Smithereens. I was skeptical at first, but it really grew on me.
