I am selling my Parasound JC2 preamp (pics will be posted later today - see below for the generic photos) and would like to get $2200 + actual shipping costs from 01746. I am fine with using PayPal, but that will add 3% to the total cost. If you want to pay with a personal check or money order, I will ship once the bank says the funds have cleared.
I am the second owner of this preamp and it is only a few years old. On the Audiogon scale I will conservatively rate it an 8/10 (although I can't find a single scratch on it). I have the original box, manual, remote, power cord, etc...
This preamp really is as good as everybody says and it deserves is Class A Stereophile Recommended Components placement (
http://www.parasound.com/pdfs/JC2StereophileReview.pdf). It sounds equally great with ss or tubed amplification and provides plenty of inputs and options. If needed you can add the HT bypass option by sending in the unit to Parasound (at an additional cost).
So why am I selling???
I decided to spend considerably more and get an Atma-Sphere MP-1 tubed preamp to go along with my Atma-Sphere MA-1 amps. I won't try to oversell the JC2 and say it is equal to the MP-1, but it gets a lot closer than one would think when looking at their list prices!
If you have any questions on the JC2, please don't hesitate to send my a PM or e-mail.
Thanks,
George
