Feedback- global,amount,Zero
« on: 19 May 2011, 07:44 pm »
I have read so much about "feedback". "the best amps have no global feedback". "Zero feedback is a bunch of  _ _ _ _  a amp needs proper amount of feedback in order to provide accurate freq response"

I was wondering if mr. Alstine would be kind enough to give me his opinions on amp feedback? Also what do the members think about feedback?

It always struck me as a little perverse to stick the output wire into the input socket but apparently it works.

I hope this helps:

The Insight+ amplifiers have no overall feedback, so the input circuits simply cannot overload on an overall loop error correction signal that doesn't exist. Feedback does exist, however, as a unique active and buffered powered feedback loop matched perfectly (electrically and thermally) to the active buffered input parameters. The amplifiers are perfectly balanced top-to-bottom and also balanced in input and feedback drive parameters. You have never heard an amplifier with this capability before.
