My brother is looking into adding a SS stereo ampilifer ($800.00 or less) to his HT system.  So far I've narrowed it down to 1. Emotive  2. Behringer  3. Audio Source.  He's looking at 200 wpc into 8ohms.
The amp can be integrated if need be.  Thanks

How many channels does he need?

Can it be 150 wpc into 8 ohms vs. 200?  There is a marginal difference in output or headroom and it will allow for more amp choices.

Depending on your responses, you might be able to get an ATI or Parasound amp that I would prefer over the vendors you listed.

Speakers?

I run AV123 RS1000s and the RS200 'Bigfoot' at center, so I amped all 3 front speakers with an Acurus a200x3 I got on ebay for $400, been very satisfied.
