PS Audio Digital Link III DAC
This is a nice basic USB-capable DAC.
16/44 only on the USB, up to 24/96 on the SPDIF.
I was very happy with this DAC since 2006, when I bought it from PS Audio. XLR and RCA outputs, a nice warm sound. My reason for upgrading was to achieve sampling rates above 96khz. Still a great sounding DAC for redbook and up to 24/96.
These are going on audiogon for ~$450. A member with more than 100 posts here can have it (buyer pays shipping, US only) for $400.
