My friend and I each bought one of these from Federated for about $100 back in the early 80's.
They are very well designed. They have very cool touch speed controls, built in spirit level, and the strobe is under a nice window at the front. Best of all, the platter has magnafloat, so the it doesn't put full pressure on the bearings.
We built our own plinths and mounted Sumiko arms on them.
I sold mine to another friend.
They are both still going strong.
