Oops.

John/TCG - turns out it's an AC transformer, the DC supply is in the motor pod itself. I'll upgrade the transformer anyway. It's not so noticeable tonight, I'll persevere and see how it goes.

Off topic...but is that an awesomely large Mbira / Kalimba on the top shelf or what?  Maybe it is just a bag of some sort......

Yes it is. I'm told it's an "Ilemba" (IIRC) but I expect there are variations in dialects and so on. It's from Africa. I was hoping to record it this weekend but didn't happen, hopefully next week.
