Just curious- which bands do you guys think never would have existed if
Hum
and
The Jesus & Mary Chain
had never been?
I guess to be fair you could probably say that
Guided by Voices
mined the same vein and was probably equally influential. From where I'm sitting it's hard to imagine
Built to Spill
or
DCfC
had there not been those influences.
What do you guys and gals think?

Although HUM was a great band, their influence pales in comparison to JAMC don't you think?
I would say that without JAMC their would be no HUM....of course Smashing Pumpkins took HUM's sound, threw in a little Poster Children, and ran.
