I"ve got a pair of VR4 HSEs that bi-amping with tubes (on top) and solid state (bottom), but have always wondered how a SET might do on top? I can pot the SS way down, and am using a Juicy Music Peach II for a pre. Any thoughts? I'm thinking of SET monos under 2k, of about 10 watts.

Dante and Vintage_Dog run 8 wpc 300B SETs up top and SS below with their SR Mk1 and Jr Mk2s respectively. Where have those guys been anyway? I'll try to track 'em down and get them to post their personal impressions. To my ears, they sounded pretty darned good.
