Day one of the show complete here in Atlanta. I am on HAL's computer now.

Sounds like a lot about nothing here in this thread.

I just love that the good people here are so willing to help others, and I love it that guys like Ron are so willing to build out kits for any of my other customers. Plus, he does a first class job of it!

Thanks Danny and Robert. Greatly appreciate your kind words. I do throughtly enjoy building GR Research speakers. In my opinion, they have a rigntness to their sound quality that  is just hard to beat regardless of price.

+1!!

Not only does Ron build very beautiful speakers, he's always willing to offer his hand to those less experienced and knowledgeable. 8)

Now, somebody buy those Cherry N2X's, so we can see his next project come to fruition. :thumb:

Really good point Ruben. When I was building my first pair Ron gave me tons of good advice and emailed me a great set of plans for grills.  Very helpful.

Thanks Ron!

I agree that Ron should be allowed to continue to post here.  I built Danny's designs for customers for years (not much time available now - maybe when I retire) and did not consider myself a manufacturer, because if my labor hours were counted as part of Cost Of Goods Sold, every pair would have been at a loss :(  I just loved doing the exotic veneer and finishing.

I agree with Danny, Robert, Ruben and the others! Ron seems to be doing this  more for the sake of helping others then for any type of profit! He should be allowed to continue what he's doing he's a great talent and one heck of a nice guy! Best of luck Ron!

Thanks Zerogravity. I greatly appreciate your kind words. As I have said before, I do enjoy building speakers for the fun of it as a hobby and to help others who want nice speakers but don't have the time or woodworking skills to build them. Certain not in it to make a big profit considering the material cost and labor time required to make them.

You are most welcome, Ron! I just wanted to echo what everyone else is proclaiming. Being new to speaker building, if it were not for you and Danny, as well as other comitted members such as Robert. I would not have been able to build my speakers! It's just a pleasure to have people like this and solidified this excellent hobby by making it all the more fullfilling!

I am always glad to offer help or suggestions to other speaker builders with their speaker building projects. Know what it is like getting started building speakers and how frustrating it can sometimes be with your first or even subsequent building projects. Also, there are a
number of other AC members who are willing to help new builders too.

Revised my reply to zerogravity that was posted yesterday. Please excuse my previous somewhat negative comments about my speaker building. Yesterday was a bad day for me.

They should just change "industry ads" and "trading post" to "new equipment for sale" and "used equipment for sale". Trying to distinguish dealers/hobbyists/resellers is silly.

Actually, I'd put Ron higher on the "trusted" list than most dealers, so maybe we can get Ron his own "for sale" board.  :D

Thanks Sparky14! Greatly appreciate your complimentary opinion about me regarding trust. I always try to be honest and straight forward with people. I too would like to see an ad category simply for new and used equipment.
