Hearing some great comments on this amp. Under $300 with, XLR, RCA connectors. 230W/ch into 4 ohms and 500W/ch bridged into 8 ohms oh my. A linear design  Hmmmm.
  Anyone have one ?

Very interesting!!! This may be the amp that I've been looking for and the price is right too.  :thumb:
I'm going to order one today from Amazon and will let you know my thought in couple weeks.

I heard they came across a bad patch of volume controls and I am not sure if they resolved the issue.

They make good "woofer" amps in a biamp.

Do go to YouTube and do a search to see the volume control issue.  It is a few years old and may have been resolved.  It may have also been containe to Europe as I have never heard anyone here complain about it.

Hi John,
Thanks for the info. I'm going to use it for my Karaoke system and Amazon have good return policy so it doesn't hurt to give a shot and test out the amp.

Instead of the A500 from Amazon for $200 you could look into the Linn Audio (of New Hampshire!) LANH 500 for $3500.

"We have modified this amp to be sure that all components are high-end audiophile preferred. Other than these components all the others were already of audiophile grade."  Huh?

I wouldn't be surprised if each and every one were checked for proper volume control operation before shipping!

I have one, it seems to be driving my subs (music not HT) fine. I had it on some drivers last year that didn't agree with it when driven hard.

Matrix Hi-fi did some blind testing.  Maybe you've seen this already:

What an interesting demo/test!  Really reinforces just how important a part speakers are in any system.

Sorry guys, i always bust a gut when i read about these feeble attempts at disproving audio synergy or whatever through dbt testing.

The only thing dbt tests prove is that testing like this doesn't work in audio.

see the guys in the pic concentrating....
