For Sale is my highly modified ASL AQ 1005 DT 300b Intergrated Amp. I purchased the Amp in it's stock form from the original owner in Dec 2008. Who also builds Audo Note Kits gear and did all of the upgrades in the summer of 2009. Amp will only play from the 8ohm taps. I'm selling due to a system change and need more wattage.
The upgrades include:
1) Audio Note Double C Core Trans 300 Improved Hib Output Transformers
2) Audio Note Copper Coupling Caps
3) Blackgate Capasitors
The upgrades brought the amp to a level of unrivaled sound quality. This is the best 8 watts of SET sound that can be bought at this price. The tonal acuracy of this amp is absolutly stunning. Instruments are placed were they belong in the room with air and superior dynamics abound. The bass is clean, taught and very controlled way into the lower octaves. Voices are emotionally engaging, the artist isn't only heard but felt as well.

Due to partial DIY nature and small smudge on rear left corner next to IEC. I bumped a concrete wall taking this out of the basement of the guy who did the mods.
The amp has a direct feature, flip the switch to defeat the pre-amp and you have a 2 channel amp for your own preamp.
The amp will be sold with the original tubes as well as an upgraded tube complinent. The upgraded tubes are:
